Project Overview

This project exemplifies our capability in handling complex infrastructure projects, featuring the construction of two new railway bridges to enhance efficiency. We performed hydraulic jacking under existing railway lines for the installation of the bridge structure, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining operational flow. Additionally, we constructed two mixed traffic lanes spanning 900 meters, installed an asphalt wearing course, and implemented subsurface drains.

This project highlights our technical expertise in executing complex infrastructure works under challenging conditions, while reinforcing our commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient, and minimally disruptive solutions.

  • Jacking of two reinforced concrete closed box culvert bridges beneath several active railway lines for the City of Tshwane:
  • The purpose of these two bridges was to facilitate two mixed-traffic lanes over a 900 m roadway section.
  • Hydraulic jacking of the concrete bridge structures was successfully carried out beneath operational railway lines, adhering to strict settlement limitations to ensure minimal disruption and maintain continuous rail operations.
  • Construction works also included:
  • Two mixed-traffic lanes
  • Installation of asphalt wearing course
  • Implementation of subsurface drainage systems
  • Project value: R145 million
  • Completed: 2021
